The FEI Eventing & Driving Department will be looking for a Sports Administrator for a 9-months’ fixed term contract with the possibility of extension and potential for a permanent resource within the Department. You will join a newly formed Department where the two disciplines, Eventing & Driving, are being brought together to create synergies and foster collaboration between both disciplines. The position’s activity rate is 100% and the location is Lausanne, Switzerland. This position is available immediately or upon agreement.
Sports Administrator
Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Director Eventing & Driving the candidate will provide administrative support to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of competition-related activities. This includes competition schedules, maintaining accurate records and results and preparing related reports. The position also supports the Eventing & Driving Department’s overall administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
Data, Reports and Competition Administration
- Review and approval of schedules
- Follow-up, reminder procedures for missing schedules, calendar updates
- Publication of schedules on the FEI Database and follow-up of necessary updates
- Create competitions in the FEI Database further to schedule approval and open Entry system
- Event results management
- Send out, follow-up, collection and reminders of Officials’ reports
- Provide feedback after events to Organising Committees, National Federations, Technical Delegates
- Review of competitions calendar with edition, revision and keeping information up to date
- Provide National Federations with support regarding the online schedule, entry and results
- Provide general administrative assistance as required
Position Requirements
- Diploma in Business Administration (CFC) required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field is a plus;
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience required;
- Genuine interest or knowledge of equestrian sports;
- Fluency in English (spoken and written);
- Excellent command of MS Office;
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
