Formed in 1921, the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) is the governing body for all international events in Jumping, Dressage and Para Dressage, Eventing, Driving and Para Driving, Endurance and Vaulting. It establishes the regulations and approves equestrian programmes for Championships, Continental and Regional Games as well as the Olympic & Paralympic Games.
FEI promotes equestrianism in all its forms and encourages the development of the FEI equestrian disciplines throughout the world, keeping the welfare of the horse at the heart of all activities.
Today, the FEI has more than 130 members of National Federations and there are over 4,500 international events annually, including a number of FEI Championships and global FEI series. Over 120,000 athletes and horses are registered and women and men compete as equals.
Over 95 FEI staff are working in FEI’s Headquarters in Lausanne, ensuring the sport continues to grow and flourish, the rules are enforced, the results are processed, the international calendar is managed, and that the very values that are at the core of equestrian sport are safeguarded and promoted.
The FEI is looking for a new team member with a 100% rate of activity for its Veterinary Department. The position is based in Lausanne and is available as of July.
Veterinary Programmes Administrator
Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Veterinary Department, the ideal candidate will be in charge of the coordination of control programs, provide administrative and organisational support for matters related to areas of the FEI Veterinary Department, with the key responsibilities below:
Key Responsibilities
Limb Hyposensitivity
- Coordination and planning of the hyposensitivity program
- Responsible for the administrative tasks
- Responsible for the inventory of the hyposensitivity kits
- Follow-up of the reports
- Provide support for the continued improvement of the program
Limb Hypersensitivity
- Coordination and planning of the hypersensitivity program
- Responsible for the administrative tasks
- Follow-up of the reports
Pony Measuring
- Coordination of the pony measuring program
- Responsible for the administrative tasks
- Liaison point and support to the National Federations
- Logistic support to FEI Measuring Veterinarians
General Administration
- Provide general administrative assistance to the department
- Help in the organization of FEI meetings and other ad hoc meetings
- Assist with measures to enhance the FEI Veterinarian Community
Position Requirements
- Relevant diploma in general administration
- An interest in or understanding of equestrian sport is a plus
- Full proficiency in English, French is a plus
- Experience from working with database
- At least 5 years’ experience in a support function position within an international environment or international sports federation
- Excellent command of MS Office
- Strong organizational skills
- A team player with a service oriented mindset and can also work autonomously
- A pleasant, easy-going person - at ease communicating both with internal and external stakeholders
